Your prospective job:

You are acting as a Environmental Control Engineerr (m/w/d) for our prestigious client in the field of aerospace industry in Manching.

Your responsibilities:

– Environmental Conditions Engineering:
– Definition and verification of environmental conditions requirements for aircraft equipment
– Validation of Qualification Programme Plan / Qualification Test Procedures w.r.t. Environmental Conditions, witnessing of environmental tests, review and assessment of qualification status (e.g. Qualification Test Reports), preparation of clearance recommendations
– Integration of ECS systems, sub-systems and equipment into aircraft, i.e. specification, qualification and certification of systems, sub-systems and equipment with respect to requirements, safety and reliability and according to the Airbus Defence and Space development process:
– Derivation of requirements, definition of concept and system architecture
– Development of system and equipment specifications
– Development of qualification programme, support to certification
– Definition, monitoring and analysis of ground and flight tests
– Preparation of certification and clearance documentation
– Control of interfaces to other systems and functions
– Build line support wrt. system queries/issues/waivers
– In-service support for ECS and equipment:
– Technical lead of defect or problem investigations (root cause analysis, development of problem solutions and modifications)
– Technical lead of modification processes, Preparation of certification and clearance documentation
– Support to system health management activities
– Technical management of system or component manufacturers and/or suppliers during development and in-service support
– Solving thermo- and fluid dynamical as well as mechanical engineering tasks and problems:
– Performing system analyses wrt. performance, dynamic behaviour, operation, control, etc., using numerical simulation tools, handbook methods, etc.
– Continuous monitoring of available technologies and identification of technology gaps
– Managing interfaces to related technical departments and functions (e.g. programme management, procurement, technical publications, technology management)
– Cooperation and coordination with internal, external, national and international subcontractors, suppliers, customers and partner companies

Your profile:

– Completed studies in engineering, aerospace or comparable
– Professional experience in aerospace
– Experience in the area of (military) aerospace specific development, qualification and certification processes
– Profound knowledge in the field of thermo and fluid dynamics
– Experience in numerical system modelling and simulation tools (e.g. Star CCM, SimcenterAmesim, Flowmaster, CATIA)
– Knowledge in admission requirements
– Fluent German and English, spoken and written
